    What he brings to the team: I'm a level-headed leader and adventurer. I'm very comfortable around water and bring a strong intuition that provides stability when things aren’t going as planned. Above all else, I am a dreamer, and one of my dreams is to sail around the world.

    Background: I was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, and have spent countless hours in the mountains, forests, and waters of the Pacific Northwest through skiing, sailing, backpacking, and mountain climbing. I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in May of 2011, and my journey through scouting shaped my school of thought and love for the outdoors. I graduated from Stadium High School and attended the University of Washington, receiving a degree in Informatics. I am currently a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services.

Outdoors and Adventure: In July 2017, I summited Tahoma (Mt. Rainier) with my lifelong friend, Damon Williams. I worked at Elliott Bay Marina from 2014-2016, where I met Andrew Stephens, who introduced me to the dream of sailing around the world. I purchased my first sailboat, a Cal 20 named Bonnie, in 2016 for $600 with Michael Magee and now explore the Puget Sound on my Fuji 35. I am also an avid skier at my home mountain Crystal and will miss my annual skiing vacation with close friends for the 2020-2021 season.
